SoundClick
Services: Free page with unlimited space for MP3s. Page includes free message board, mailing list and other features. SoundClick charts songs based on number of plays and listener ratings. This isn't so much a place to sell music as it is to showcase it and provide a link to your official artist page. Over 1 million unique visitors per month.
Cost: Free.
Muze
Services: Content providers for over 250 online retailers. The web site is vague, but you can send your CD to have it listed in their database, meaning buyers can order it through outlets such as Borders, E!, Sam Goody, Tower and others.

AmpCast
Services: Sell your digitally created CDs and singles in the
AmpCast store. Offers a charting system based on plays and ratings.  
Cost: Membership is $95/year. Also takes $1 of profit on CD sales and 50% on sales of digital singles.
StarPolish
Services: Unprecedented artist support through forums, advice columns, articles, industry and artist interviews and more. Great artist pages, very classy look, industry recognized forum. Cost: Free to join, 20% of CD Sales .
SoundBuzz
Services: Digital music distribution focusing specifically on the Asian markets - via online (MSN, Lycos), wireless (Nokia), and OEM partners (HP).
Cost: Free to use, takes 50% net revenues on any sales that might come from your music.
BeSonic
Services: Based in Europe, BeSonic boasts over 20,000 artist members. Visitors search by "mood," "taste," or "sounds like" mode. They can also sit back and enjoy BeSonic "Mood Radio," Cost: Both free (with limitations) and Premium Artist (pay) options are available. Premium artists receive additional promotional and placement benefits.
Sonic Garden
Services: Free web site for artists including MP3, WMA and MOV downloads, mailing list, email account, news, bio, tour info and more. Artists may also get inclusion in Sonic Garden radio, TV, and soundtrack programs.   
Cost: Free
Audio Kingdom
Services: Sell CDs, MP3 singles, t-shirts and other merchandise from your AK store, which can be customized to your preference. You can also hook your "official" web site directly into AK's shopping cart to accept credit cards.
Cost: Free (No setup fee). Audio Kingdom takes 25% of sales.
IUMA
Services: One of the oldest and most respected musician communities on the web. Upload songs, bio, photos, tour dates and artwork. Create message boards, fan lists, and more. Now owned by Vitaminic.com.
Cost: Free
 1Sound.com
Services: Founded by Rod Underhill, who founded the original MP3.com. You much audition your music. If accepted, you get a free page with up to six songs and possible inclusion in the 1sound.com webcast.
